PHOTOGRAPHY OF
An LDS Wedding
Like many religions, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has a special wedding ceremony for it's brides and grooms. These ceremonies take place inside the LDS Temple, of which there are hundreds around the world. Lucky for us, there is one right here in Dallas, TX!
I was fortunate this last June to assist in photographing this beautiful couple's First Look, and Couples Portraits on the grounds of the Dallas LDS Temple before their LDS wedding ceremony. After the ceremony we all drove out to Ferris, TX to the beautiful Mars Hill Farm.
As you may have noticed, I did not photograph the wedding ceremony. This is because photography is not allowed during an LDS Sealing Ceremony (in other words, the wedding). Why? Because it is considered a very sacred experience that is only shared with close family and friends. If you are curious to learn about what happens during an LDS Sealing Ceremony feel free to check it out on the Church of Jesus Christ website.
As you'll see below, the Dallas Temple is a beautiful building with a light gray marbled exterior, cool spires, fountains, and well kept gardens. It has a variety of places for photos to be taken, no matter what time of day your ceremony is at.
The Mars Hill Farm is also incredibly beautiful, with an incredible mission: to provide jobs for refugees and fresh food and flowers to Dallasites, and to form strong connections between the two. This couple's outdoor reception could not have been more beautiful!
Over all, an incredible and beautiful day!
